The Dermaplaning course is an advanced therapy designed for skin care professionals, aged 18 and over wishing to broaden their skill set by introducing dermaplaning into their clinic or salon.

Dermaplaning is one of the most popular versatile treatments for skin specialists and beauty therapists to add to their practice, having numerous indications and applications and having few
contra-indications.

This one-day course will equip learners with all the practical skills they need to correctly carry out dermaplaning treatments confidently and competently, in addition to all the core knowledge behind the procedures.

In parallel, learners will develop their consultation, communication and customer service skills and widen their knowledge of the principles and practices of non-medical aesthetic therapies, all of which are valued highly by employers.

Most courses are manufacturer or distributor led and involve little, if any, training in the underpinning science behind the treatments.

Conversely, we provide a comprehensive autonomous training program, which enables practitioners to choose and work effectively with the correct devices for their business needs.

• Wound healing response
• Overview of skin anatomy
• Indications for treatment
• Benefits and effects
• Contra indications and contractions
• Provide dermaplaning treatments
• Post treatment advice
• Treatment planning

What could this course lead to?
Learners may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing supplementary specialist courses in one or more of the following areas:
• Skin peeling
• Skin Needling
• RF skin tightening
• LED light therapy

We provide:
• All models for demonstration and patients for practical assessments
• Course material and manuals to prepare for the theoretical and practical assessments which detail all the theoretical and practical considerations relating to undertaking dermaplaning treatments (which will also include learning check points to evaluate learning and identify areas for development on the course)
• All products and tools for the training days at the centre

Course information:
This one-day dermaplaning course runs from 9.30 am to 5.00pm and combines a degree of self- study at home prior to attending the course.

This ensures you have a basic understanding of the principles and practices of dermaplaning treatments along with the supplementary associated knowledge requirements.

All learners must attend the training academy for one day for:
• Theoretical teaching and learning pertaining dermaplaning
• Demonstrations
• Hands on Practice
• Practical assessments
• End of course test
