This one day course on site at facethetics training teaches you deliver a safe and successful treatment with botulinum toxin. Before attendance, we wish for you to be fully prepared and well informed so that you can take away the best learning experience possible. We provide comprehensive e-learning that is delivered in a clear format that is interactive and easy to read in preparation for your training. The complete course is cpd certified.
You Will be able to treat patients and gain insurance on successful completion of the foundation day.
What is botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin (Commonly referred to as botox®), is a neurotoxin that is used to treat lines and wrinkles on the face which are caused by facial movements such as frowning and smiling.
What does a botox treatment involve?
A very small quantity of botulinum toxin is injected directly into the muscles that cause lines using a fine needle. This relaxes the muscle and the skin in the affected area smooths out. Because the muscle is not able to Moveas much, the treatment also prevents new lines and wrinkles from forming, as well as improving the appearance of existing wrinkles. Results are typically visible 10-14 days after treatment and can last between 3 and 6 months.

An interactive presentation covering all aspects of the treatment, a review of your e-learning, a demonstration and a hands on practical session Willtake place on the day.
Following the presentation, each delegate Willbe given time to carry out a full medical consultation with their model, to assess their face, ensuring their suitability for the treatment and that they understand any risks or side effects. Delegates Willcarry out the treatment on their models under the supervision of our educator. As all of our training courses are limited to small groups, the practical session allows all delegates to observe a wide range of treatment indications and techniques, with ample opportunity for questions, feedback and guidance.
To ensure a structured approach to learning, a maximum of 5 to 6 delegates are permitted on this course enabling you to draw upon expert knowledge of anatomy and treatment options for the face. You Willhave the opportunity to learn by demonstration, consulting and assessing, along with a hands-on approach with close supervision and support.
You Willhave the option of attending a supervision day, should you feel you require extra support whilst injecting.
